The Environmental Protection Agency just quietly fast-tracked three new herbicides for use on American food crops. Wheat. Oats. Citrus. They are all PFAS. Forever chemicals.

But the detail that makes you read it twice is about one specific chemical called trifludimoxazin.

Before it was greenlit, internal EPA assessments explicitly flagged “suggestive evidence of carcinogenic potential.” They also warned that it rapidly breaks down into 12 highly persistent PFAS variants that contaminate local water systems.

Then they approved it anyway.

That makes five forever chemical pesticides approved in under two years. The Environmental Working Group says the current regulatory system is failing completely, largely because the agency is routinely waiving required immunotoxicity tests before letting these chemical mixtures reach the grocery store.
