House Speaker Mike Johnson is reportedly considering legislation aimed at preventing pregnant non-U.S. citizens from entering the United States for the purpose of giving birth, an effort supporters say is intended to address what they describe as “birth tourism.” The proposal comes just days after the Supreme Court reaffirmed that the 14th Amendment guarantees birthright citizenship to nearly everyone born on U.S. soil, rejecting President Donald Trump’s effort to narrow that longstanding constitutional interpretation.
Johnson said Congress is exploring every available legislative option and suggested that a constitutional amendment could also be considered, while acknowledging that such a process would take considerably longer.
Any legislation approved by the House would still face significant challenges in the Senate, where bipartisan support would likely be needed for it to advance.
The proposal has intensified the national debate, with supporters arguing it would help prevent abuse of immigration laws, while immigration experts contend that birth tourism accounts for only a small percentage of annual births in the United States.
Recent polling also indicates that most Americans continue to support preserving birthright citizenship. The issue remains the subject of ongoing public debate.

That’s the ultimatum Sam Saadeh says he got from a United Airlines supervisor — right after boarding.

Saadeh, of Linden, N.J., was flying home from Atlanta on June 4 wearing a black T-shirt that read “bombing kids is not self defense.”

A flight attendant reportedly flagged it as offensive, and Saadeh was pulled aside and told to change or stay behind.

He changed shirts. He made his flight. But he says he never got a real answer on why the shirt was a problem in the first place.

“I can’t see how this shirt is offensive,” he told a United rep, according to CBS New York. Her response: “It’s 2026.” His: “I know what year it is.”

United stands by the move, citing its policy against “lewd, obscene or offensive” clothing — though the airline hasn’t spelled out what crosses that line.

Saadeh, who is of Palestinian descent, says the shirt reflects his views on the war in Gaza and has now filed a complaint with the U.S. Department of Transportation.

1 – DỊCH VỤ HOLD MAIL LÀ GÌ?

* Thời gian giữ: Từ 3 ngày đến tối đa 30 ngày.

4 – ĐIỀU GÌ XẢY RA KHI BẠN TRỞ VỀ?

* Nhận tại nhà: Vào ngày kết thúc (End Date) đã chọn, nhân viên bưu điện sẽ mang toàn bộ thư từ đã giữ lại cùng với thư mới trong ngày giao đến thùng thư của bạn.

* Nhận tại bưu điện: Nếu bạn muốn tự đến lấy, bạn cũng có thể chọn tùy chọn này khi đăng ký. Nhớ mang theo giấy tờ tùy thân (ID) có ảnh khi đến bưu điện nhé!
