After more than 41 years at United Airlines, Captain Chresten Wilson has reached a milestone no woman has ever achieved before.

She is now the most senior pilot at United Airlines—the first woman to hold the No. 1 spot on the airline’s seniority list in its nearly 100-year history.

Wilson joined United in 1983 at just 22 years old and went on to fly an estimated 12 million miles across more than 100 countries, spending decades commanding widebody aircraft around the world.

Today, she flies the Boeing 787 Dreamliner between San Francisco, Australia and New Zealand.

The achievement is even more remarkable considering women make up only about 10% of commercial airline pilots in the United States.

Her time at the top will be brief. Mandatory retirement rules mean she’ll leave United next year at age 65, bringing to a close a career that spanned almost half of the airline’s first century.

Looking back, Wilson says she hopes her story proves that the dream is possible for the next generation of pilots.

A recent archaeological discovery in central China is turning heads and challenging everything we thought we knew about early civilization in East Asia. In Henan Province, researchers have uncovered a 5,000-year-old tomb at the Wangzhuang ruins that may mark the burial site of an ancient king and the possible centre of a lost prehistoric kingdom. This groundbreaking find is rewriting the narrative of early Chinese history.

The tomb is unlike anything seen before from the late Neolithic period. Measuring more than 17 square metres in size, its scale alone suggests that the person buried there held immense power and status. Archaeologists have recovered more than 350 artifacts from the site, including elaborately crafted jade ornaments, bone tools, ceremonial pottery, and even symbolic pig mandibles—which historically denoted wealth and prestige. These findings strongly point to a high-ranking ruler or noble figure from a once-powerful regional culture.

What adds further mystery is the absence of a full skeleton. Only a few toe bones were discovered, and evidence suggests that the tomb was deliberately desecrated not long after the burial. Scattered jade pieces and broken ceremonial weapons indicate possible looting or politically motivated destruction. Experts are now questioning whether this was a simple robbery or part of a much larger conflict during a time of unrest and transition.

Perhaps most intriguing of all is the possibility that the Wangzhuang ruins were more than just a settlement of the Dawenkou Culture. With the scale of this tomb and others recently uncovered nearby, some archaeologists now believe Wangzhuang may have served as a prehistoric capital. Additionally, artifacts from multiple regions show that this site was a place of cultural exchange, suggesting deep interactions between early societies well before the rise of dynasties.

Fun Fact: The tomb’s ceremonial pig mandibles were used in rituals to symbolise wealth and were commonly placed in elite burials throughout ancient China.

1 – KHOÁ NGAY CÁC THẺ TÀI CHÍNH

Thời gian là vàng! Hãy ưu tiên xử lý các tài sản có thể “bốc hơi” nhanh nhất:

* Thẻ tín dụng & Thẻ ghi nợ: Đăng nhập vào App ngân hàng để khóa thẻ (Lock/Freeze Card) hoặc gọi điện cho đường dây nóng 24/7 của ngân hàng.

* Apple Pay/Google Wallet: Xóa ngay thông tin thẻ được lưu trữ trong điện thoại nếu bạn cũng làm mất điện thoại kèm theo ví.

2 – BÁO CÁO VỚI CƠ QUAN CHỨC NĂNG

* Báo cảnh sát (File a Police Report): Hãy đến đồn cảnh sát địa phương gần nhất để trình báo. Dù cảnh sát có thể không tìm lại được ví, nhưng biên bản trình báo (Police Report) là giấy tờ cực kỳ quan trọng để chứng minh với các cơ quan khác rằng bạn đã bị mất giấy tờ, giúp bạn tránh các rắc rối pháp lý sau này nếu ai đó giả danh bạn.

3 – NGĂN CHẶN ĐÁNH CẮP DANH TÍNH

Đây là bước nhiều người bỏ quên nhưng lại quan trọng nhất:

* Đặt cảnh báo gian lận (Fraud Alert): Liên hệ với một trong ba công ty báo cáo tín dụng lớn (Equifax, Experian, hoặc TransUnion). Chỉ cần báo cho một nơi, họ sẽ tự động thông báo cho hai công ty còn lại để đặt cảnh báo trên hồ sơ tín dụng của bạn. Điều này khiến kẻ gian rất khó vay tiền hoặc mở thẻ tín dụng dưới tên bạn.

* Đóng băng hồ sơ tín dụng (Credit Freeze): Đây là cách an toàn nhất để ngăn chặn kẻ gian mở tài khoản mới dưới tên bạn. Việc này là miễn phí và có thể thực hiện online.

4 – CÁC GIẤY TỜ CẦN LÀM LẠI THEO THỨ TỰ

* Bằng lái xe (Driver’s License / ID): Ưu tiên hàng đầu để có giấy tờ tùy thân hợp lệ.

* Thẻ An sinh xã hội (Social Security Card): Chỉ xin cấp lại nếu thực sự cần thiết, vì thẻ này rất dễ bị lạm dụng nếu rơi vào tay kẻ xấu.

* Hộ chiếu (U.S. Passport): Nếu mất hộ chiếu, hãy truy cập trang web của Bộ Ngoại giao Mỹ (travel. state. gov) để báo mất và làm thủ tục cấp lại ngay.
