Frontier Airlines is making a move that would have been hard to imagine just a few years ago.

The ultra-low-cost carrier says it will begin installing Starlink high-speed Wi-Fi across its Airbus fleet starting in early 2027, bringing internet fast enough for streaming, messaging, remote work, and more.

For years, Frontier argued that adding Wi-Fi would increase aircraft weight, burn more fuel, and push fares higher. But passenger expectationsβ€”and the technology itselfβ€”have changed.

The airline has already rolled out First Class seating, refreshed its loyalty program, and introduced more premium options.

Adding Starlink is the latest step in its effort to compete with larger airlines while still offering low fares.

Frontier hasn’t announced whether the service will be free, but the upgrade signals just how much the airline is evolving.

The Frontier of 2027 may look very different from the one travelers remember.

Do you think upgrades like this would make you give Frontier another chance?
