She is medically fine, she just has a case of being The Queen. The rules do not apply to her, and she figured out last year that her pee goes away down drains. She’s very clean and very particular so this must seem like a brilliant solution to her.

The first time I saw it she came in the bathroom and peed over the drain in the shower stall next to me while I sat on the toilet and peed. She was like “oh great, I was hoping to pee together today.”

She likes to be different from the other two cats in the house, and even if the litter boxes are all changed every day, she chooses what I’m sure she considers her very own even cleaner bathroom. She poops in the litter box still, thank god.

We, the mere humans with whom she deigns to share her existence, feel this is disgusting. We hate having to rinse our shower drains and spray stuff down them. Despite our best efforts, the pee has started rusting the main bathroom shower drain cover. We closed the main bathroom door with the shower stall consistently and then she started using this tub. We have 4 bathrooms and 3 kids, we can’t expect people to close all the doors all the time.

I realize this is funny, but for real, what the hell do we do?

For reference, she’s ~6 yrs old, and was a year into street kitty life when she found me. She has never peed outside the box prior to this, and she’s had vet visits since this started.
