While photographing wildlife in the desert, photographer Nimish Peter captured a fleeting moment: a horned viper remained perfectly still as a tiny insect landed on its head, clinging to one of its iconic horns.
Horned vipers are found across the deserts of North Africa and the Arabian Peninsula, where they rely on exceptional camouflage and patience to ambush unsuspecting prey.
