I'm the one who just lost our baby, Laurie, just two days before the 3-year anniversary of my mom's death from Alzheimer's and cancer. Laurie was her kitty, first, then became our baby after mom could no longer care for her and her sister.
Since her death, I've spent a bit of time moping on the couch (Please excuse my sad carrot and blueberry snacks). When I started to cry, our other kitties, Vincent (AKA MiniVan, a pandemic rescue) and Saamsara (AKA Saamuella Deville, who we rescued from the highway as a tiny kitten shortly before my mom died), rushed onto my lap to comfort me.
So, this post is in appreciation of them and their wonderful caregiving skills.
