I got this top a few months ago and wore it once but now I feel like it's kinda meh. There's a small gap in the chest area where it ties and I'm afraid that it looks bad. Also, because it's kinda flowy at the bottom, idk if it looks good with this particular style of shorts. I tried the same top with plain denim shorts, but the outfit is even more… plain. The striped shorts are more comfortable too but I'm scared it looks like loungewear. How tf do I style either of them

This is the first costume I've ever made. Shoutout to my mom for teaching me so much about sewing during this project. Really happy with how it turned out for my first one.
I finished making the costume last year for DoKomi 2025, but only now got around to having some neat pictures taken at CCCM26.
My fingers are twitching to get started on a new project soon.
