Found this little kitty in my backyard. Mother is nowhere to be found. I’ve tried giving it water and wet food but it’s terrified to come anywhere near humans. Any advice? I’ve never handled a stray before

My girlfriend picked up this sticker from Summerfest in Milwaukee this year and I’ve been suspect of it but I can say exactly why.

I think mostly it is the hands, the left hand is in the pocket but is clipping with the hem of sweater, the right hand is also in the pocket but kind of just tucked behind. The smile is also kind of weird with the cross at the top of the left side but the right side sort of just fades out. The collar of the sweater also loses consistency on the left and right side. I’m leaning AI mostly because of feeling I have when I look at it but I wanted to see what fresh eyes would think.

In 1972, Montana did something no other state has done before or since. They wrote Indigenous education directly into their state constitution. Not a policy. Not a temporary curriculum add-on. The constitution. Article X legally guarantees that every public school student—Native and non-Native—will learn the history, culture, and contemporary reality of American Indians. They call it Indian Education for All. It ensures Native people aren’t taught as historical footnotes. They are taught as living, sovereign nations central to Montana’s existence. Other states require tribal history through legislation. But a law can be repealed. A constitutional promise is meant to stay.
