I lost pencil #047 and I've been searching for it for hours in places like my bedroom, the couch cushions, my bed, and anywhere else that I would usually use it and it's driving me mad because all the other shades are either too light or too dark and it feels off when I use a different color for this character. Of course I'm gonna leave town tomorrow for probably a week so then I can't even look for it then because I won't even be at home and I'm gonna have to use alternatives. It also had to be one of the colors of something I draw very often too 😭

My dad and I were cleaning out our attic (specifically, our Halloween decorations) and I found this weird letter in one of the boxes. It’s not ours, my family is nowhere near this level of crazy, and I have no idea when it got in there or by whom. I assume it was probably snuck into one of the boxes the decorations came in, but it was just chilling out loose in one of the Rubbermaid containers we have our decorations dumped in.

7 years ago she zeroed in on me at a shelter and 7 years later she still looks at me as if to say “you did not say anything about other humans or cats. I thought it was going to be just us.”

I'm pretty sure this is real, but reverse image search did not bring up anything. I could not find any kind of Trader Joe's marketing or promotional material with the image.

Edward Avery McIlhenny in 1916 claimed this american alligator skin was 18ft long and it seems the scale shows this, but a question arose in my mind, is the scale accurate could its markers be shorter to make it appear bigger? Like how 9 inch rulers are sometimes used and treated like 12 inch rulers to make things look larger than they actually are. There's no person to give some idea of how big it is so I'm asking if any of you could truly estimate its size (is it 18, more, or less). based on plants, house, and objects from the photo and to consider doing two different size estimates based on if the skin was streched or unstreched. I would be grateful to anyone who could attempt this.
