Feet people and gardeners, unite! These things are basically walking off the shelves.

I was getting a new kitten, from someone whose cat accidentally had a litter before she was able to have her spayed.

Long story short, I had her look after the kitten for a little longer than usual as I was away travelling for a couple weeks, so he was supposed to come home with me today at about 12 weeks or so.

Whilst he was being looked after, a window was left open and he slipped out with his sister. He’s been missing for almost 5 days now. Blankets have been left out, food, his litter box, and his mum has been out calling for him. He got out in quite a rural area near a forest, so the worry is foxes might have gotten him.

I’m so deeply devastated about this. I had no control over the situation and there was nothing I could have done or can do. I wish I hadn’t gone travelling and picked him up sooner… maybe this wouldn’t have happened with me. I don’t know. I’m so upset. He was my baby boy, and I hadn’t even gotten to take him home yet. I had met him several times since he was about 3 weeks old, and formed a close bond. I’m getting another kitten once I’ve grieved, but they will have a new name, and I’ll make sure to tell them all about their brother.

The mat is about 5 x 20 feet. This one is very similar. The product says “8 adults”, but if evenly spread and stable, how much weight could it handle before sinking?

I’ve had it since at least 2020, maybe as far back as 2005 or so.

I’ve owned a mic stand, a telescope, a large dust collector, and a lathe. Maybe it’s an attachment for one of those?
