So the other day I pull into my driveway and I see her laying in my neighbour’s driveway in the shade. It was hot out so I went to check on her make sure she was alright. She was a little scared at first but then quickly warmed up was letting me pet her so I assume she has had human interaction. I went inside to get her some water and when I came back out she was gone. Now I’m at my parents the next few days helping them with some work and when I come home we have a kitty litter box, toys and food. While I was gone she was coming around my family(wife and kids) and they let her in the house which I’m on the fence about.
1 she could belong to someone else
2 I don’t know a thing about cats but willing to learn fast, that being said do I need to potty train her?
3 I feel like we need to take her to a vet before we let her into our home but she is allowed on my enclosed porch and we are taking her to the vet if she allows us to in the next day or two.
I do want her to come into our home and to be part of our family but I don’t want to force it or rush it. She has no collar and poor thing is sneezing a bit so I assume she has a cold or something? We named her Midnight but she answers to Mimi. The past 3 night she has come around at dinner time but stayed outside all night as far as I know. This morning I got up early went out on the porch opened the door and called her name a couple times. I sat down and left the door open, she was on my porch a minute later. She actually sat on my lap for a good 15 minutes. It’s raining out so she’s been on my porch all morning. I love her already but if she belongs to someone else then I will let her go. I will gladly take any advice or constructive criticism on that matter. There is missing cat posters up in the neighbourhood but none for her. I think she needs a forever home and it feels like she has made her choice.

I’m looking to buy this couch used, so it’s already assembled. The legs can be removed though. Our doorway is 30 inches wide after removing the door from its hinges. Could I pivot this through?

This is a wonderful and progressive decision. Banning wild animals in circuses is a huge win for animal welfare, as it puts an end to training cruelty and cramped cages, allowing these animals to live naturally. It also enhances public safety by eliminating the risk of animal attacks and potential diseases. More importantly, it teaches future generations to respect wildlife rather than view animals as tools for entertainment, while pushing the circus industry to innovate and rely entirely on amazing human talents and acrobatics.

Christian tracked a group of bonobos that are being studied by Barbara Fruth of the Max Planck Society. He set out each day before daylight, waded chest-deep through flooded forest and often walked 20 kilometres each day.
Catching up with the group, Christian recalls how ‘the bonobo held and stroked the little mongoose for more than an hour, carrying it carefully, as it climbed a tree to eat fruit’.

At first look you might think that this scene is sweet, but it likely has a darker origin. Bonobos are mainly herbivores but do occasionally hunt and eat small mammals. This mongoose pup was eventually released unharmed, but it might have been taken when its mother was killed.

The US House just voted 308–117 to end the twice-yearly clock change. They passed the Sunshine Protection Act. If it becomes law, the nation stays on daylight saving time permanently. No more falling back.

Supporters want the brighter winter evenings. But the secondary effects of stopping the clock are immense. Airlines and global transit networks warn that unwinding their complex, deeply integrated schedules will take up to two years. Sleep scientists are actively campaigning against the move. They warn that shifting the sun will force millions of Americans into morning commutes and school runs in pitch-black winter darkness.

The bill now heads to an uncertain Senate. If it survives, it advances to the President’s desk for signature.
