Recently we have I have just moved into a new apartment complex, and our room mates and I have discovered an irregular beeping sound. It is is extremely loud and high-pitched, with occurring every few minutes at irregular intervals. Sometimes it will be quiet for hours, but then others the beeping will happen 10-15 times within less than 10 minutes.
We had an someone come over who was able to determine it was not happening from within our house, so we were trying to determine where it was coming from. We noticed this strange object on one of the nearby complexes, and based on the sound, our landlord thinks it might be some kind of device used to deter animals, but we are not sure.
Is anyone able to determine what kind of object this is, and what is it used for? We are not 100% sure it is an animal repellent, as there really isnt any wildlife here, aside from cats, dogs, and birds, and the birds don't seem to bothered by it. Additionally, if it. Is a noise-deterrent, does anyone know what brand it is, and if this kind of device is even legal to have in an apartment complex?
Thank you!
