I was feeling a structured, slightly moody aesthetic for a walk in the city, but I had to break up the dark tones with some playful color.

The anchor of the look is this incredible chocolate brown, double-breasted wool wrap coat. I love how the oversized collar frames the face, and the self-tie belt really creates a dramatic silhouette with the flared hem.

Underneath, I paired my favorite pale pink pussy-bow blouse (the vintage spilla adds just enough detail) with some tailored grey plaid high-waisted shorts.

And yes, the main event: opaque, soft pink collants (tights)! They add such a fun contrast and draw the eye down.

To ground the pink, I went with deep burgundy suede knee-high boots with a sturdy block heel. The color combination feels surprisingly rich and autumnal.

Finished with my trusty red-lensed sunnies and a fringed brown tote. What do you think of this layered look?
