Deccan Ground Gecko can’t blink because it doesn’t have eyelids. Their eyeballs are covered with spectacles – transparent scales that protect the eyes. To keep them clean many species use their tongues like windshield wipers. This is probably the first recorded example of that for the Deccan Ground Gecko. Picture taken by Pratik Pradhan.
