We're currently in the middle of nowhere in Norway. The fan belt has snapped 3 times in past 2 months already, this being the 4th. The 3d time, the ANWB (european insurance that helps you out in situations like this) brought us to a garage and said they fixed the issue by replacing the alternator. Well, clearly that wasn't the issue haha.
The really infuriating part is that they are now denying us service because we don't have the exact right sunscription of the like 30 they have for our specific situation. The funny part is that they didn't even mention this last time and it wasn't an issue at all.
So now we're just kinda stuck here going back and forth with Norwegian employees of this service.
I'm not 100% sure if I translated fan belt correctly, it's the rubber belt that connects the engine to the power steering, a/c, and most importantly the damn alternator so the engine keeps running.
