Was replaying Cave Story the other day, and was musing about the jetpack effect of the machine gun weapon. What kind of caliber and and what sort of cyclic rate would be necessary to achieve this? I can only imagine something in the neighborhood of .50 BMG at near-minigun speeds, but I have no real basis for that, pure conjecture. Any ideas? Thanks in advance!
