Cookies and cream ice cream for the hot weather!
My boyfriend and I have discussed marriage but he’s set on joint accounts if married. I am the total opposite. I grew up where a lot of the women around me had issues with men which meant a lot of “always keep your money as your money” or “what’s his is yours and what’s yours is yours”. Him and I are both working adults, we don’t want to have children, grow together financially and have a good life overall. Him and I are in the same boat on expenses except I may have certain things that may seem “niche-type” but oh well, I do it because it’s my form of self care and it’s not draining me financially. I like the idea of having our own separate accounts and one where we contribute a certain percentage. But he’s more set on the whole shabang because otherwise it seems like a roommate situation. To his point, I understand because that’s how his parents were but big difference what that his mom was a stay at home mom. Anyway, random yap topic. Would love to hear what you guys think on the matter too!

Edit: Woah! Didn’t expect this to blow up! I love all your comments! Y’all are great 🫶🏼
