My dad and I went to the Airborne Museum in Sainte-Mère-Église and saw a display of a paratrooper's (John Steele) personal items from his pockets. We were shocked to see this item bearing the name of a limestone mine 15 minutes from where we are from in Virginia. To me, it looks like a floss container, but why would it be branded like this and in the pockets of a man from Illinois?
