Going to london tomorrow for afternoon tea , the dress code is ‘elegant smart casual’ but it’s not strict, from reading the reviews some dress up and some don’t.
wondering if the orange top/cream skirt or blue dress/shawl combos are too casual?
I feel like the black is a safe bet but it’s the least fun.
Also, if did the blue dress, are the black sandals a mortal sin?
It’s going to be 28 degrees celsius which is equivalent to walking around in a sauna to people in the UK (myself included) , and I will be going out and about afterwards so needs to be somewhat practical. (really hoping the sandals aren’t awful for this reason also)
Whatever I choose to wear will be ironed beforehand , i’m aware the dress and shirt are a bit wrinkly.
